Our committees are the driving force behind NCAIA's initiatives, each focused on specific aspects of supporting and empowering the Indian American community in North Carolina.
Fundraising & Communication
Coordinating fundraising initiatives and organizational communication
Key Responsibilities:
- •Seek out opportunities for corporate sponsors, philanthropists, and large donors
- •Secure grants and endowments for the organization
- •Coordinate fundraising events like galas and runs
- •Manage communication with members and non-members
- •Oversee NCAIA branding and messaging
Political Advocacy
Promoting and protecting Indian American interests in politics
Key Responsibilities:
- •Bring awareness to community about political process
- •Represent, support or bring awareness on changes at local, state or federal level
- •Promote leaders that support Indian American causes in NC
- •Influence members of lawmaking bodies on legislation
Educational Policy
Shaping educational policies for community benefit
Key Responsibilities:
- •Analyze impact & advise improvements to education policy benefitting Indian-American children
- •Help influence & shape policy at County School boards
- •Work with University systems on policy improvements
Immigration & Legal
Supporting immigration and legal needs of the community
Key Responsibilities:
- •Understand legislation and advocate lawmakers on Immigration needs
- •Provide advisory support to legal cases
- •Connect with relevant agencies and companies
- •Support Indian Americans living in NC with immigration matters
Membership
Managing and growing our community membership
Key Responsibilities:
- •Highlight members responsibilities
- •Recruit new members
- •Maintain existing members
- •Manage membership accounts
Finance
Overseeing financial health and compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- •Recommend policies for Strategic & Operational Income & expenditures
- •Manage organizational obligations under federal & state tax laws
- •Review and recommend annual and other budgets for Board approval
- •Oversee financial policies and compliance
Women & Youth
Empowering women and youth in our community
Key Responsibilities:
- •Rally women and youth to align with organization mission
- •Identify key issues impacting women and youth of Indian Americans
- •Recommend women involvement in public policy making
- •Organize youth improvement & sports activities
- •Conduct mentorship programs for youth
Business, Technology & Healthcare Forum
Fostering professional growth and networking

- •Create network of business leaders and technocrats
